The second stage of the inaugural EGP season was held in Cambridge on February 8th and 9th 1986.

Imre Leader, the 1983 British champion, made his EGP debut. Jean-François Puget, winner of the first stage in Milan, made the short trip across the channel to try and increase his lead in the EGP. The modified swiss format allowed these two players, who were clearly the favourites, to meet twice and they shared the spoils. At the end of the tournament Imre Leader was on top of the standings by just one win over his French rival. No finals were played.

The standings on this page only include the players who received EGP points.
