TOURNAMENT REGULATION

Where? Vint.ee
Create a Vint User. If your Vint username is not "WOF verified", contact @Benkt Steentoft in the Championship WhatsApp-group. 

WhatsApp!
You will need to be on WhatsApp to play the tournament.

What is the WhatsApp game room for?
The main purpose of the WhatsApp game room created after every round is to agree on a match date and time with your opponent and to report the match result.

Take the chance to learn more about the players from other countries! Many of you might never meet in an OTB tournament. 
Be nice, say Hello and How are you?
Agree on a match date and time and make sure you both know each other's  Vint Usernames.
Remember this is a friendly online tourney!

Pairings!
There are a total of 11 rounds! Make sure you can play them all!
In each round you will be paired with a different player.
You will be added into a WhatsApp game room. There you can say "Hi" to your opponent and decide the date and time for your game.
You can see the pairings on this page, look for the round number that ends with "ACTIVE ROUND". 

How to register the result?
After your game you write the result in your game WhatsApp room.
Write both players name + result. Add @fabricio and @Benkt 

How to play? All games are played at Vint.ee.

Who creates the game? ⚫Black needs to setup the game.
Set time controls to 20 minutes per player. 
Check the colors for players and invite your opponent.

No opponent? If you schedule the game and your opponent does not show up within 30 minutes of game time. Check with your opponent the reason of not show up. If possible, reschudele the match. If this not possible, because of the deadline, or other reasons, you will be awarded the win.

Connection issues? Of course you can decide to change playtime. Remember to play before the round's deadline. 

IF a game is not played after the deadline? The tournament director will decide if one player gets the win or if both players get a loss. 
After several missed games a player will be removed from the tournament. 

Standings and results? You will see the standings and each round results here! So bookmark this page!

Withdraws. If you decide to withdraw from the tournament, contact @Fabricio or @Benkt. It is important you tell us so we know you are leaving the tournament. 

Final games.
The Top 16 players go to the overall/main playoffs.
All games (for the main category) in the final stage are best of 3 games. 

The top 16 Youth players, go to the Youth playoffs.
The top 16 Women go to the Women playoffs.
The games in the youth and women playoffs are all 1 game matches except the final which is a best of 3 game match (just like the main final).

The 1 game matches use the "choice of colour or draw-win" rule (see section IV.9 of the WOC rules).

* The player who is highest in standings starts as White in the first game, Black in the second game. If it is 1-1 after the two first games, the player with the highest disc total decides what color she/he will be in the third game. 
* If a player is qualified for more than 1 Final stage, she/he can play in them all. 
* There might be a Pre-PlayOff before PlayOff IF players around 16th place have same number of wins. We use same rules as in WOC.

No hard words to opponents. This is a friendly tournament.
No use of Othello software tools during the games.
